On a cold winter's day I met Claudine, walking in the woods in the Watchung reservation in New Jersey. These songs are the chronicle of our journey since then. It's been a wild ride. Crazy, joyous, sometimes heartbreaking, and always filled with something new around the corner. It's a story of hope that we want to share with the world. It's a glass that is half full. A year went by. I wrote songs for her. We have played out as a duo testing them out in the clubs here in New Jersey and Brooklyn, and we enjoyed some very fine musicians who contributed to our offerings as Claudine & The Truth. Finding a unit that can play these wonderful songs and support this unique, soulful voice is challenging, and we are still in the market for a rhythm section of bass, drums and keys. Competent, sensitive players who recognise the quality of the material and are prepared to serve the songs, who have a holistic view of the sound, and who want to make a hit record. If you think you fit that description, please give us a call. A lot of preparation, from the stimulus of events that caused the songs to be written, to the crafting of the arrangements, the rehearsing of the vocal and instrumental parts, to the building of the studio, to the recording of the demos, shows this is not a flight of fancy into some ego trip, but a real, quality attempt to communicate emotion through music and song. We expect that kind of recognition from anyone who calls.
